audiomuze, thanks for pointing out for batch ripper - I went to their website and read about it . I'll check if it's possible to rent one of the Primera machines they recommend. I do realize that 1000 cds is not a huge amount, (I saw people asks advice for ripping 30000 cds ), but If I can spent some reasonable amount of money to rent a robot for a week and be done with ripping per se ( I can tinker with tag later using mp3tag and or puddletag), then I'll go for it
