@dbinder101, It is something only you can answer for yourself. A lot of it depends on your equipment and your ears. My 60+ year old ears (with hearing aids) and my upper mid range equipment I really can't tell a difference between FLAC and MP3 ripped at the -V0 level (highest sampling rate with highest VBR) using LAME with EAC. YMMV
