I guess I will ditch Tagscanner, although I found it quite easy to use. If that was the source of my problem. Audiomuze I understand the tag removal of ID 3 and APE, but what do you mean by the cut/paste step? Am I to cut out existing tags and paste them back in. Fortunately only a small percentage of my albums seem to be affected but it will be a rather tedious task finding out which ones they are. I have a dual boot with Ubuntu and Win XP not Win 7 and much of the older tagging and ripping was done under XP
