However, I don't see how to make dbPoweramp populate the Style field at the time of ripping CDs. But, in the process of poking around dbPoweramp, it occurs to me that I could use the Comment field for subgenres. AFAICT dbPoweramp will populate the Comment field in both FLAC and MP3 files it generates, and iTunes sees the Comment field.
