Question: How to you use Genres with your music files?

- Don't use genres, can do without
- Just a handfull as general guidance / entrance (-6)
- Some genres to make some distinction (7-15)
- Really fine grained (15+)
- I went all-in and copied Amazon's / HMV's / ... system (200+)
- Please, stop with these stupid polls!

What ever internet source I use to fill in metadata, dbPoweramp
actually automatically fills my STYLE field with sub-genre type
information.

As I mentioned before, I doubt ITunes could use that. I'm not even
sure how well you'd be able to take advantage of a comment field with
ITunes. I don't use ITunes. However, in my own db, my STYLE field is
multi-valued. Most of my music falls into multiple sub-genres, and the
Custom Scan and Custom Browse plugins take advantage of the multiple
values nicely.

As for comment fields; I don't see why you can do the same. Comment
fields are already scanned by default. You just need to use custom
browse to give you the browsing capability.
