yep, it's a shame. itunes handles Lame gapless info perfectly, but on
encodes done with itunes, you only get gapless on itunes, ipods, ipads,
etc.  NOT on other players.  I get perfect gapless on lame mp3 files,
but not on anything ripped originally with itunes to mp3 or AAC. 
Another reason to use a better ripper (particularly given the more
important reason of getting secure rips....99% of the time itunes is
fine on this, but it is the 1% nonsecure rips that make dbpa or EAC
much more important).
