I don't use cue sheets, so for me all embedded tags.  Not sure why one
wouldn't want the AA to show up, so I think I agree with you on that
point.  However, in my own case, I typically leave the Compilation ALBUM
ARTIST blank.  The few Comp albums that I use Album Artist tag on are
"tribute" albums.  So maybe a comp album that is a tribute to the artist
"Guy Clark", I'd put Guy Clark as ALBUM ARTIST for that comp, so the
album shows up when I browse to my "Guy Clark" albums.  In my own case,
every compilation I have that has an ALBUM ARTIST, happens to be an
artist for whom I have several separate non-compilation albums.
