yes Matthew, this is another option that I'm considering, even though I would
like some firewire device (in order to be used with some atom fan-less mini-pc).
If I understood you correctly, RME HDSPe RayDAT works ok with linux, doesn't it?
What about your experience with AD/DA conversion of ADA8000, does it sound good?

Nowadays we are using a Delta-66 card in our main Rivendell server. Even
though in our new studios we want to use ADAT technology in order to send
the audio between studios and control system. So, we are planning to use
also Ardour as a mixer and DAW and use rivendell in all our studios (3) in
the same machines. That is the reason for which we need a sound card with
some ins/outs.
If some of you are using a sound card with ADAT and some ins/outs, please
let me know.

Abacast stream encoder and we got terrible cross talk until I opened it
up to find their trick to make it look balanced when it's not. So we
