Another bit of advice.. I tend to spend more liberally on displays,
as these traditionally don't lose value as fast as other components.
CRT's have been on a dive lately due to LCD introduction, but prior
to that, CRT's had remained pretty consistently priced for many
years.  The LCD market may have changed all this, and we may see
LCD panel prices bottoming out, but I kind of doubt it'll happen
anything like other commodity parts.

I'd recommend that whatever portion you've budgeted for display,
think about increasing it.. :-)

Oh yeah... don't forget to checkout wallmart.com, assuming you
are not going to put windows on it [sorry, I have to be optimistic
here :)], they sell MSTaxless PC's/laptops with Lindows... I don't
think the big boys do that yet...
