I prefer having just-one-way-to-do-it, because I believe it makes learning
a system easier. In this case adding the new mechanism would also be a big
task requiring changes in parsing, data model, log and report,
documentation, RIDE, etc.
I'm not sure would I want this feature at all but I'm sure I'm not going to
implement it. Are you Bryan ready to implement it yourself in somewhat near
future? If not, I'll close this because having possible enhancement request
nobody is going to implement just messes up the tracker.
