Wow, I'm surprised you think it is such a huge task. I spent 15 minutes or so and was able to solve the parsing and model changes issues, just to see how hard it would be. I didn't tackle the streaming issue but I'm guessing it would be equally easy. Of course, a robust solution needs testing, docs, etc. so I'm not implying it's a trivial thing to do.
I don't need ride support (at least, I have no immediate need), and I don't think this information necessarily needs to be in the reports. If you're saying you would consider adding the feature if I give you patches, I may do it. Gotta check with my team to see how this falls in our backlog priority.
