Do you want the "semantics" of organization, or the visual appeal of a
hierarchy? If you want to represent the reporting structure and organization
of your business then simply use classes defined as <<Business Actors>> as
your personel within packages defined as <<OrganizationalUnits>>, as per
RUP. THis works well, though doesn't show employee, manager relationships
which can be done with associations.

Subject: (ROSE) Sidebar - Creating an Organizational Chart using Rose
Hi all,
I apologize for this not being a true Rose question in advance. I would
like to supplement my business modeling with an organizational chart
showing who reports to who within the organization I am modeling. To keep
everything central I would like to keep this chart in Rose.
Right now I seem to have 2 options.
Option 1 - Use an activity diagram to create an organizational chart
(visually this is not very appealing)
Option 2 - Create my diagram in powerpoint or another tool and import my
diagram into Rose.
Does anyone know of a better way to accomplish creating an organizational
chart and storing it in Rose?
