A lot of replies have tried to make the Org Chart useful to the UML
model -- interesting, very interesting.
However, it seems like the original question was just for something to
show an org chart visually. For that, the nearest approach would be a
class diagram, suppressing the attributes and operations, as Reynolds
says. The inheritance relationship can create graphic hierarchies that
strongly resemble those in an org chart. The class icon is pretty
awkward for long, multi-line labels.
Still, I have to ask, isn't importing a diagram from another tool a
pretty slick solution? Visio springs to mind, but there are lots of
choices. When the vendor's recommended technique works well, why fight
it?
