Funnily enough I was intending to suggest the same change myself.  I bet 
you hadn't expected that.

I would prefer to see en_GB be the default and en_US just a translation, 
but since it isn't, it's entirely correct to use US terminology in the 
default GUI and keep the UK terminology in the en_GB translation.

The only practical problem I have with it is that I'm pretty sure last 
time I installed a Linux distro (SuSE 8.2) it didn't install the KDE 
en_GB support by default even though I'd specified my language and 
location at the outset.  Which suggests a number of users may be 
unaware it even exists, and that would be a shame.

Anyway, I'll commit the revised en_GB, and also the 
americanise_colour.diff provided nobody else gets there first.
