If you mean that on a mono-user machine, one can run as root rather than 
creating a user account, then you should know that this is an extremely bad 
idea. If you mean that root is just a su away, then it's still a hassle : you 
have to make the sequencer suid.

I think we've already discussed this before, but I probably wasn't paying 
attention (audio not being my strong point).
