Yes, so am I.  I still have 1.6 on one machine, and I've upgraded the 
other to 1.7.20  because I wanted to test it but without that 
incentive it would probably have 1.6 as well.  Since the Lilypond 
guys don't distribute packages for SuSE and Lilypond is not 
especially easy to build (with the dependencies on recent versions of 
things like guile and mftrace), it's unlikely that I would ever 
upgrade from the version SuSE distribute unless I had plenty of time 
and a very pressing reason to.

I suggest we continue to target 1.8 for now.  Let's worry about 2.0 
when we find it actually included on a distro somewhere.

Meanwhile: Rich and I are going to be at the Linux Expo in London's 
Olympia 2 exhibition centre today and tomorrow.  Don't expect much 
email.
