I didn't put that in the same category, since this is a * operator error, not a << operator error. But maybe this is what you were talking about. Don't mind me, this is all C++ stuff, and I don't know C++. (Hell of a thing considering what I'm doing for a living. Or, um, for a time waster anyway.) Happy to punt. I'm still just taking wild potshots at any random thing that looks fixable, with no overall plan at all. All of this stuff has to compile before we can take the first look at any of it. Well, actually, I like your idea of dropping things into a dummy main.cpp. We should set up some kind of sandbox like that. It would be useful. Hard to do though, because of Rosegarden's high degree of interconnectedness. -- D.
