I know almost as little about casts as I do operators. My gut tells me that
even though the compiler is spewing a bunch of qint32 qint64 nonsense, we
probably don't really need to do that.

There are billions of cases where compiler warnings spew about QWhatever when
a regular Whatever from the normal world will do just fine.

Having said that, I still have no idea what we're talking about overall, and
I'm just running my mouth to look stupid in public.

On the bright side, I just got one more file to compile the hard way. Bit by
bit. I sure wish there were more files you could actually get through
without dealing with massive codebase-wide issues though.

Digressing from the stated topic, the things I notice are:

1) DCOP. I'm waiting on Chris for that.
2) K.*Widget and K.*Window. No idea what to do about 40 billion errors here.
3) QT layout things like HBox and VBox and TBox and QBox and ZBox and
whatever. I sucked, absolutely, massively sucked at layouts in QT3, and if I
try to fix any of this, it's almost certain I will totally fsck everything
up. Except for my little presets dialog, I don't think I've EVER done
anything layout related where somebody else didn't have to wipe my nose, and
I might have even required nose wiping on that. I'm such a complete moron
when it comes to layouts. A complete and total moron.

So all of those added together mean the majority of the stuff I've looked at
randomly is over my head, and I have no clue where to start.

I'll just keep taking blind potshots. It's getting us progress in baby steps
at least.
