It helps to subscribe to the rosegarden-bugs list. Commit logs get posted to
the list, and this provides an easy way to see when somebody has committed
something, and what was supposed to have changed.

Even if you don't follow that list, you can just run "svn up" from your
working copy from time to time to see if you get any updates. If you got
some changed files, then rebuild. It shouldn't take as long, depending on
what changed.

Of course it can get a little more complicated, but let's worry about what to
do when something goes wrong after something has actually gone wrong.

It's important to be as specific as possible, and try to use the correct terms
for these discussions. If you ask me to "select two tracks" inside the
notation editor, I don't quite know what you mean. How many segments do you
have open in that view? How many tracks are visible?

It seems like this may be something Chris was just working on recently, but I
haven't gotten around to trying to test any of that yet.

It quite likely wasn't doing anything. Many things in the notation editor
have not been hooked up yet. If you'd care to make a list of everything that
isn't working yet, that would be helpful. Try all the buttons, menu items,
and especially all the old keyboard shortcuts. I know we are still missing a
great deal of keyboard shortcuts, and that one is hard for me because I only
use a few of them, and it is very easy for me to miss things I don't realize
are not there.

I don't think this one is, no.

That's a good thing to do. It's nice of you to volunteer to try this out and
see what you can do with it. I look forward to working with you as we try to
get this thing into shape and ready for release.
