We used to get this kind of thing free or cheap from KDE, and haven't re-
implemented it yet. I haven't looked into the specifics yet, but I've been
picking up little hints along the way, and have the impression this will be
pretty simple when I get there.

Cool! I'll call that a win then.

OK, the original is a pretty normal looking random selection of music, what
did it look like after you added an accent? I'm having trouble making sense
of "it will miss the first note." I could read that about seven different
ways, especially if you aren't a native English speaker.

Anyway, this might require a specific example file from you, because if I play
at drawing out a couple of bars similar what you've depicted in the link
above, I can't find any way for clicking on the marks-related icons to
malfunction.

This suggests it could well be something unusual about the very specific
example you're looking at. I'd suspect something related to notation
quantization, but can only speculate wildly.

Likewise the strange problems with selection. It sounds like it's probably
just another weird thing caused by the notation looking quite different from
what the raw data looks like underneath. We already found one bug like this,
with slurs. Maybe you found that one too? I'm afraid I've already forgotten.

Anyway, you have double dots in that, and I've never seen a double dot in my
entire life unless it was something Rosegarden translated from a raw MIDI
source (file import or recording) so you're probably working with a notation
quantized performance there, I'm guessing.

Oh, right, you're on Nabble. Hrm. Well if you can manage to send plain old
email, just send it directly to me, and I'll play with it.
