Michael, No problem, take your time. No one is expected to work on sundays. Meanwhile I tried matrix editor. I found a problem I couldn't fix my self. When using horizontal zoom so that zoom differs from 100% draw, move and resize tools don't work properly. Erase and selection works. Then about drum matrix. In classic I am slightly irritated by the fact drum notes have no particular duration. IMO sometimes it makes difference for percussion instrument to have predefined duration. Example: think you are a drummer. You hit crash cymbal. You will hear sharp sound that slowly decays in a few seconds. But if you grab the cymbal with other hand and then hit you will hear short sound that last for a half second. And you could probably do same kind of tricks with snare (I am not sure, I'm not a drummer). My suggestion: Make matrix and percussion matrix almost identical with only difference in perc matrix show a drum/instrument name hint. With specially crafted sound samples for example in a .sf2 file (I already have done one for my self) it would be easy to create very natural sounding drum tracks. Hope my thoughts don't cause (too much) confusion. Cheers, Jani
