Hello Chris, I think your solution in CollapseNoteCommand is a good start on this, but now the collapse behavior does not work like it did before.
If we put 4 quarter notes (middle C) in a measure, select them, then collapse them. We end up with two half notes instead of a whole note. This algorithm is no longer using the last created event as the basis for future collapse possibilities. An interesting note is that If I limit the segment length to 2 measure and place 8 quarter notes, select them, and collapse them, I RG bombs. This is also repeatable if I make the segment three measures long and place the 8 quarter notes in measure 2 and three if I place the 8 quarter notes in in measure 1 and 2, this is not a problem. ... I'm looking into the the end of segment issue, could you look into having the latest patch use the last created event as the basis for future collapses? If not, I'll look into it after this the end of segment issue is fixed. I think your solution is cleaner than the one we had before...so I'd like to go with it if we can make it work.
