In my local copy I placed this line:
helper.makeNotesViable(m_selection->getStartTime(), endTime);
after line 82 in CollapseNoteCommand.cpp
We loose the selection set if we do this, but the actual results make much more
sense to me, even if there are other notes in the semgent.
