The requested updated to the 8407-bis document includes that as part of its CODE section, usually signaling verbatim use. The example document, draft-ietf-ccamp-otn-topo-yang-20, similarly makes use of this format and was approved by the IESG according to John. My suggestion is to take your sincerity and work with the netmod AD to remove said sentence from said boilerplate. :-) -- Jeff
