Dear RTI_India list, While doing a "causelist" search at CIC for 19-20 of Feb 2008, I noticed that there is considerable variation amongst the "filing / receipt dates" with respect to the ICs. It appears that some ICs are now regularly hearing cases which are filed about 2 - 3 months back. Habibullah's and Kejariwal's matters are not listed on this day - although I am assisting someone from outstation on 20th who was long scheduled for hearing - case not listed in causelist - has not heard from CIC - and is coming at great hardship to attend.
What I would like to know is how many members here have old cases (say beyond 6 months) which have not come up for hearing. For eg. I find that IC(PB) on 19-20/Feb/08 is hearing Appeals (from an ex-IPS officer) which was filed on 18/01/2008. Sarbajit
