First let us not make sweeping statements on the Mumbai situation. What political capital has Mr.L.K. Advani made after the blasts? His few statements were statesmanlike. And no, i am not a BJP sympathiser nor an Advani admirer. I disapprove of the policies of both Mr.Advani and Sonia. But because i disapprove of Advani and Sonia, i cannot blindly fault all their actions. On rare occasions, they also act reasonably. Here, in the aftermath of the Mumbai incidents, Advani was able to and visited Mumbai. Neither were the services of the police or ATS or NSG guards or Army disrupted because of the visit nor were their activities interrupted. So, what harm is there. Whether he did this for votes or with a genuine feeling of empathy is left to individual imagination. But his actions per se, cannot be called making "political capital". What happened is indeed sad, but i feel the UPA government is hopelessly groping in the dark with an indecisive and weak and inactive leadership which sits in the dark, hoping the problem will go away! Again, to bely any kind of partisanship, i will also say that the NDA was also hopeless when dealing with these kind of situtaions when it was in power. Both these coalitions should go and some new dynamic leader like Obama in the U.S., should emerge, and that leader should not belong to any already existing political family. If so, it will again be old wine in a new b. The best thing to do now will be to appoint a three man committee to go into the whole incidents, ask the committee to submit a report in 10 months, then based on the report, form a two man committee to submit proposed action on the guilty and after the same are submitted in 6 months, leave the final decision to a specially appointed Parliamentary Commission consituted with members belonging to all the political parties. The decision may be heard by another specailly appointed commission before introducing the same in the Parliament and after thorough discussions and debates, take appropriate action after a "consensus" is reached. Only such an action will be just, fair and objective!!! Rajasekhar

When will the truth come out? How many people died at the Taj ? How many at the Oberoi ?> My sources tell me that 200+ people lie dead in the 15-17th floor of the Oberoi+Trident alone. 200+ at the Taj including employees at all levels. When will Shivraj Patil resign ? After he stops changing his suits ? When will L.K.Advani stop trying to make political capital out of a national tragedy? Kick the CORRUPT politicians out.
