Dear kaza

If I recall correctly, your query was "Can PIO deny me information to
a RTI request filed u/s 6 for minutes of proceedings of its Councils
/ Boards / Committees etc. on the ground that the P/A has already
previously published u/s 4(1)(b)(viii) that these documents are not
open to the public"

The identical issue came up in
http://cic.gov.in/CIC-Orders/WB-07082008-04.pdf

Mr H held (very correctly)
"4(1)(b)(viii) does not give the public authority a right to exempt
information from disclosure which is only possible u/s 8(1) and 9 of
the Act"

TIP: google is one of the best search engines on the planet. entering
advanced search terms like "4(1)(b)(viii) site:cic.gov.in" will
resolve many such problems member have.

previous mail was censored out by Yahoo. This is a test.
