Dear friend,

Thank you for responding to my doubt regarding proactive disclosure in RTI. I
am not totally clear about it but i have to put my question clearly to you for
you to answer me.
So, i will soon give a detailed question of my doubts.
Anyway, sorry for my delay in sending in my thanks to you.
Thank you again.

Having grown up in South Bombay, Colaba / Cuffe Parade too, passing
these places daily in school buses and BEST 137/138 (route numbers may
have changed) on the way to college, being taken once a month by
parents up the majestic staircase of the Old Taj to the Sea Lounge to
eat fresh strawberry ice cream and cucumber sandwiches overlooking the
Arabian Sea which brought these guys in, I too feel a sense of
frustration, at what Mumbai has allowed itself to become.

The same old unarmed hafta taking obese Sakharams (lampooned by
Sanjeev Kumar in 'Manoranjan' ) being expected to take on heavily armed
professionally trained Al Qaeda. The corrupt politicians with their
deep mafia connections. The deliberate targeting of upperclass
landmarks to delight the lumpen. And at the end of the day, our
neglected, underpaid and abused Armed forces (the last barrier between
civilisation as we know it and chaos) having to step in once again to
allow these corrupt f***ers to rule on.

Shivraj Patil is not our only problem from Maharashtra. We have Madame
President with her 'khooni' brother. We also have an Oil Minister and
an Aviation Minister from the State who shakedown airlines in tandem,
not to speak of a recently appointed Central Information Commissioner
whose sole claim to eminence is serial filing of RTIs on behalf of one
faction of India's land mafia.
