I beg your pardon. Nothing is right in what Mr.Shailesh Gandhi has done. Let me list out some of them as follows:
1. Whatever may be the reason he should not have allowed his staff to ill-treat Mr.S Roy an Rtian known to Shailesh Gandhi also as such since long 2. It is highly irregular to employ non-government servants viz., those whose antecedents not verified and accepted by the competent authority in government office. The rule does not permit as thereby he is giving access to the documents of CIC to persons not accepted by government. This is stretching Official Secrets Act too much.. Mind you that the OSA is still not abrogated. 3. His above action is not for the good of RTI Act; but for the good of PIOs whom he is unlawfully pardoning. Can anyone say what good his actions has done to the RTI.? Our aim is to create a cituation where no PIO should dare to deny an information without any reasonable cause. With Mr.Shailesh Gandhys style of functioning every PIOs have the courage to shoo away the applicants telling them to go to the CIC fully knwoing that thereby he is defenitely getting more than 180 days instead of 30 days. Is it good for the RTI Act.? Is it what we all are visualising. Defenitely not me. I think that we should finish this Shailesh Gandhi topice for ever ccconsidering also one of the inconvenient ICs if he is not prepared to behave like an Rtians as he used tobe before achieving what he might be dreaming for. 4.
