Dear All, Col Kurup has addressed this mail to some of the groups where I do no not have access and their members may not be aware of the background. He has raised 3 points. 1. I agree with him that no one should be rude / insolent with anyone including in the emails. 2. Mr Shailesh Gandhi as CIC has some authority of his own. I am sure that he has taken full care of that. He is fully aware of OSA. There is no law to prevent employing extra hands to complete any work in the govt. Almost every govt dept is outsourcing their work outside. Use of computers should be encouraged and manual intervention should be reduced. 3. His contention that he is helping PIO's is incorrect. He is using his powers judiciously to punish the erring PIO's. As I mentioned earlier, *the aim is to get the correct information and in time, not to collect the money by penalties. One should not expect miracles.* ** *I, once again, request all citizens of India to support not only Mr Shailesh Gandhi but all such govt officials who take initiatives to improve efficiency in their work / dept.* ** *Incidently, I have never known Mr Gandhi and heard him first time on 8 Mar, 2009 at Mumbai at a RTI meet.* regards Col Shivraj
