a) hard disk problems :
because  when shutting down  linux systems, you must sync memory and close
properly each open files.
Otherwise, when you will reboot, partition may be corrupt and system will
take a long time to check for each files opened and not closed before
shutting down.
I am not an expert of this subject, this is all what I know and excuse me
if this is not exact .

b) UPS  is not a solution, since it is an add-on cost and need emplacement
for it in electrical cabinet
