I agree with this, this is discussed in the book "Writing Device Drivers
for Win NT". (sorry i know then is windows but ...) They say exactly the
same thing at the level of driver interfacing in winnt.

I am also interest to know if data acquisition or control devices for AGP
bus are commercially available? I have never see this in the National
Instrument or ComputerBoards catalog.
