I personally use the built-in filter. I almost never feel the need to really go HTML, but if, i use copy+paste (my graphical web browser runs in a box, i mean, ok, that could be done from mailcap or whatever, but, well..) "Normally" people really want the "copiousoutput" variant and look at the HTML inline, aka via "lynx -dump".
