ALEX:
I think you've drawn an accurate conclusion that new QC stuff now lies
beyond the reach of today's kit-builder. While I'm not always right, but I'm
never wrong, I think the wood and, by association, bolsters for the QC kits
came from Northeastern Lumber. They, though still alive and kicking, have
been out of the S business for some time now. If you are interested in
scratch-building something and need bolsters, replicating those you found in
the QC kits is not that difficult--in wood or styrene. On the other hand, I
believe some of us, myself included, may have a hoarded supply of those old
NE bolsters and would be willing to part with some of that cache for a
worthwhile project. What say?
