Agreed.  I am still smarting from one of the other SIG's taking on the 
production of CNR cab numerals in HO scale.  They used a lower cost producer 
that tabbed the numerals.  I used a US etcher that rubber backed them, 
costing double.  Needless to say, I still have a large inventory with no 
possibility of disposal.  It is a free marketplace and they, like the NASG, 
have helped in other areas.  However, I am more careful of future projects.

I think the NASG should help out when there is a clear need.  The Pullman 
cars were a great representation.  They did not have to pay for the project 
to get started as the molds etc were already done.  They just had to 'nudge' 
the producer to come out with them again.  The other spin-off was the Black 
Cat CNR Passenger car decals were produced sooner than I had orginally 
approached them for.
