. Yet, having a town is
usually a neat thing. What to do? Cheers...Ed L.

Our problem is that S-scalers are not building large layouts. The lack of
dedication and the insistence of building small is holding back the hobby.
I don't know what keeps otherwise hard-core modelers from building at least
40 by 40 layouts - then they could have room for a nice town with gas
stations, banks, beauty parlors and all the other urban scenery. An added
benefit is that they could increase the radii of their curves and run some
nice long cars and trains.

Let's all pledge that next year we will at least double the size of our
layouts. It's really silly to waste all that good house space on living
rooms, dining rooms, etc - go for more train-rooms!

Good luck - if I do this I will probably lose my wife and my house -
eliminating my train space problem.
