Not sure how much weight you are looking for, but you can always wrap solder around the axles. My only fine scale (Code 88) model is a conversion of a brass airslide covered hopper by Mike Elkin. It operates with no problem on the DPV layout. Of course the builder of the layout (Chuck) has always stressed there is no substitute for excellent trackwork.
