Adding a bit to Dave's comment, the only 'advantage' to truck weighting
would probably be to keep the centre of gravity low.

I used it on occasion in my HO days when the car was too light and it was
not possible to open up.

I would wrap solder around the axle(s).  I made do with the regular flux
type (in stock) but solid would have been heavier.  I'd sometimes paint it
black to hide it somewhat.
