Well;

Re-trucked NG diesels and then a lot of former Army RS-1s etc from  
the Alaska RR.  Later stuff would probably follow practices of the  
connecting Alaska RR.  Although maybe the White Pass would stay loyal  
to ALCO and later GE :)

Interesting ideas.
