PFE mechanical reefers ran from ca. all the way to the east coast
and points in between so were very common in many parts of the
country. The same models could be lettered for many similiar roads
too. 50 and 57 footers should be very popular? They started their
trips on the branch lines in the country and ended in the city produce
districts so can be used on small industrial layouts as well as
mainline hotshot scenes. Autocars ran on more defined routes from
factory to delivery depot so are probably not as usefull to smaller
layout scenes. What kind of flatcar were the Evans racks fitted to?
Maybe just the racks could be molded to fit an existing SHS or AM
flatcar? ....dave
