I believe Des Plaines has taken over Oregon Rail Supply and has
converted some items to S scale signals. I'm sure Ron can confirm (or
deny) that. Most signals sit on 8" masts which is a very convenient
use of 1/8th inch brass tubing in S.
About 6 years ago we (RRM) looked at brass SP searchlight signals on
masts made by our Chinese builder, who was doing them in HO. They
would have retailed around $150. I won't say the interest was zero,
but it was pretty close... I guess everything has its time, even
accessories like signals.
