Hello Bill -
Thanks for your response. I am answering on the list also as I suspect I am
not the only one confused.
I think the problem is with different expectations - the current project aside,
I understood that NASG sponsorship did not mean that NASG would finance the
venture. I was part of the recent and successful packing house project which
started out with several members committing enough purchases to get things
started and NASG accepted the project after that as a service to all potential
buyers. I would not expect NASG to finance anything like this but would serve
to organize, coordinate, and publicize it. In short, the advantage of group
purchase which should not compromise NASG in any way.
I think it is especially appropriate to propose projects of this kind on this
Yahoo list. The membership of this list covers many scalers who might not have
closer contacts. Projects can be proposed and if enough people respond they
can proceed. If people do not respond or there is not enough interest the
project will die on its own. No need to tramp on it and no need to blast away
at the innocent soul who is looking for kindred soulS.
Sincerely,
Art Armstrong
