If my memory serves me correctly, the main reason the NASG started
the brass car committee was to introduce the code 110 wheel to S scale.
I am happy to have had the privilege to be on this committee with Mike
Ferraro and chairman Jim Kindraka. The advertisements and order forms
were funded using seed money from the NASG. Tom Marsh of Overland
Models had enough confidence in our committee that he produced sample
models of each car. All of the cars sold out and made money for the
NASG as well as promoted the new standards and our scale.
Just think Bill, without the NASG funding this project, you may never
had the opportunity to have so much fun importing your own first brass
car project.
Best regards,
Don
PS Guess which S gauge mfg. the NASG send the most $$$ too? LOL....
