DCC friends,
I certainly am no expert on this, but there is a good reason to consider
to at least turning off the regular DC abilities (via a Ops setting--I
think?). It is possible to have runaway trains during either a start-up
or shut down of the system. It happened to me a couple of times.
If your adding a new engine to your system and need to test it via
analog, set it back up on a temporary basis. I do run a couple of
regular DC engines so I need to leave DC on as default, but I'm aware of
the "incomplete shutdown possibility" and how to handle it. It is also
possible to shut off DC operations in the individual decoders and I
understand they sometimes operate better.
