While you have a valid point, part of (as I see it) this group's value is 
knowing the PEOPLE and events that make our lives in S interesting.   These 
anecdotes are part of the deal...

We tell people in our club about the S Yahoo groups and how they can use
them to learn and to share their knowledge of S scale and S gauge trains.
A few members have responded that they've checked out these groups and found
far too much personal stuff and trivia that they don't have time to wade
