I like the group pretty much as it is, especially when Bill Lane isn't
listening. I belong to several groups that are very specific in nature
i.e. Digitrax, Steam Era Freight Cars, Leafscan, and a couple of
Milwaukee lists. By their very nature will be more focused on specifics
and by the same token I could care less about the FEC or even the NYC so
I don't belong to their lists, but I do pick up bits and pieces here
that makes my experience fun. If I want specifics on why a Leafscanner
won't run on OS10-1-4, I can get answers from that list from ten
different people all over the world. If I want to talk trains just like
being at the NASG convention I want to tune in here and see what's up.
Getting Nazi like with a lot of rules is why some many people don't like
the NMRA and similar organizations. Let's keep this group fun and
informative when needed.
