Perhaps more to the point is that if you are really looking for information
about S scale, most on-line groups are not the best starting point. Referring
them to the NASG web site, Craig O'Connell's web site, Paul York's or any of
several others (not intending to slight any of the many sites, most of which
are or should be linked from the above) is a far better bet for solid
information than just lurking on the groups. Once they digest the information
on the web sites, they are in a better position to join the group and ask
questions that weren't covered in their reading.

Bantering between friends is part of being a member of the S scale
community. I'm not sure most would want that to end. Perhaps one
answer to the dilemma is to tell the unhappy folks that the best way
to "find whatever there is of value" is to ask a question. Simply
waiting around for something to randomly surface on the List is kind of
like waiting for a meteor to hit. It might happen, but the odds are
quite long. Tell 'em to ask a question about S scale if they have a
genuine interest. If they cannot think of a single question to ask,
then I would suggest they do not have what it takes to be a macho S
scale guy. Being an S scale guy is not easy, but it is very possible
with the assistance being offered by the folks on this list. No reason
for complaint in my opinion. But then again, us folks from Mars are a
bit different. Cheers....Ed L.
