American Scale Models rings a bell, the name Charlie Beedle does not, 
but I can't be sure about that...

I found the model (the box is labeled "Ten Wheeler Basket Case") and 
recalled I picked up some 10 wheeler drivers from the Omnicon "pile" 
once when I visited Netherton.  Unfortunately their bearings will not 
fit in the frame.  Another project for another year... 

The comments about sprung locomotive drivers is interesting...  all 
my brass steam locomotives have spring bearing blocks for each 
driver.  So do all the diesels...
