I use the #5 on my rolling stock so here's what I've done....
a. Cement on the PRS draft gear box.
b. Drill and tap the hole for 2-56 screws.
c. Placed the coupler and centering spring into a KD5 box (top and bottom)
with the 'wings' cut flush and then placed the assembly into the PRS box.
d. Screwed it all together using pan-head screws or the KD nylon screws.
I don't use the PRS box top for two reasons:
If you don't glue it on, it will fall off according to Murphy's Law.
If you do glue it on, and the coupler should break (not everyone has a
light touch at switching - or the floor is harder than the coupler)
you may find it almost impossible to remove.
