Hi Gale --

Thanks for the advice!   I might try all that as an experiment, but I have 
already decided I don't want to use the parts supplied (even if they were 
flat).   Some had actually started to disintegrate as well, which gave me 
doubts about their service life.   The basic walls and base of the building 
are OK (with stiffeners) and that is all I need...

Have you tried to correct the resin parts by softening them with hot water 
and then getting them to a good flat plate and cooling them off quickly with 
cold water.....you can't pull on them and I would use vinyl gloves it might 
leave fingerprints otherwise ( and watch the texture surface on the gloves 
too)
